About the Presenter:
Bruce Faddegon received an MSc in physics at UBC in 1983 and PhD in physics at Carleton University in 1990. The MSc thesis was on radiosensitizers, the PhD thesis on measuring benchmarks for x-ray therapy. Bruce took a break between the 2 degrees to complete his clinical training. He was certified as a Fellow of the Canadian College of Physicists in Medicine in 1996. He currently is an Associate Professor at the University of California San Francisco, holding a clinical position with research responsibilities. His research focus is improved precision in radiotherapy with emphasis on application of Monte Carlo simulation to radiotherapy.
