About the Presenter:
Kavita Chandwani, MD, MPH, was trained as a Gynecologist-Obstetrician in India and works as a research manager in the department of behavioral science at M. D. Anderson Cancer Center. With interest is non-conventional modalities of treatments and their applications in health and disease prevention in the modern healthcare setting and women’s health and, she is involved with Yoga Research in women with breast cancer. She is certified as yoga instructor and also completed the Yoga Therapy Orientation Course through Swami Vivekananda Yoga Research Foundation (VYASA), Bangalore, India. She is Vice President of the Houston chapter of VYASA. She is also studying for doctoral degree in Behavioral Science at the University of Texas Health Science Center, School of Public Health, at Houston.
